What is a Board Room?

reference

A board room is a place where an entire group of people, usually those who are elected by shareholders to manage a company, gather. It can also be a room where people gather to make important business decisions, like selecting a new CEO or the establishment of a branch. A boardroom can also refer to a virtual conference space, where groups meet online. Virtual meetings have numerous advantages, such as improved governance, higher attendance, lower travel costs and increased diversity among board members.

The term boardroom can also be used in the context of a sports media channel founded by NBA superstar Kevin Durant. The Boardroom network hosts conversations with celebrities and athletes about sports and culture. It is partnered with NBCSN and also features the original show The Boardroom with Durant and Rich Kleiman.

In most cases, when a candidate is removed from a show, there will be an emergency Boardroom meeting to discuss their actions. This usually occurs when a candidate breaks rules or behaves in a way that makes other candidates uncomfortable. For instance, in season 10 the show had an emergency Boardroom meeting was scheduled after the candidate Anand sent texts to his friends asking for a pedicab ride which was against the rules of the show.

The Boardroom is situated on a studio lot, and the walls are adorned with large mirrors that hang from them. The chairs for advisers are on the opposite side of the large table from the seats reserved for candidates. The chair of the boss is higher than all other chairs to emphasize the authority of the boss.
